DAVE WECKL: CONTEMPORARY DRUMMER + ONE
9 demanding but also beautiful play-alongs. With and without the drums of Dave Weckl. With "charts" of the tunes as you get them in the studio. What I conceal as very worthful is Dave´s "talkdown" of every tune. Very detailed he explains why he has played this note there and so on. Take your time to read these talkdowns carefully, there are tons of real worthful informations in it. Very useful also the transcriptions by Dave.
Pradicat: very, very worthful for the advanced drummer.

DAVE WECKL: ULTIMATE PLAY-ALONG, LEVEL 1, VOLUME 1
My favourite CD for chilling out on the drums. As the 7 tunes are real easy to play I often use them in my drumlessons. I also use the tunes for myself as a "click" for polyrhythmic adventures and stuff like that. It´s far more fun than playing with a triste "biep-biep-biep". And the playingsituation is far more realistic, because the other instruments might disturb you.
A great work for beginners and advanced.

Familiar to Volume 1, but a bit more demanding.

HEINRICH HOCK: JAZZDRUM RUDIMENTS
A true bible about paradiddles, accents and rolls in all variations you can imagine. From halfnote-triplets to 32nd-fourteentuplets, from 3/8 to 11/4. In case you want to do serious expeditions into the endless world of rhythm, check out for this book. And - not astonishing - you will find a lot of keys to Vinnie Colaiuta´s world of rhythm...
